Data on epilimnetic phytoplankton in five Wisconsin lakes (Peter, Paul, Tuesday, East Long and West Long Lakes), USA, from 1984-95, determined by light microscopy from pooled Van Dorn samples at 100%, 50%, and 25% of surface irradiance. There have been 4 counters during this period, with the same counter from 1991-95. The counting protocol is described in K. L. Cottingham. 1996.
