Bridging the gap

We live less than twenty feet away from many people but often know nothing about them, yet, at the same time, we are continually connected - continually plugged into the net, and, often, looking down into our screens. This paper dives into the design process of a location based application called Propagate and the methodology of taking cues from the physical world - how objects with mass and heft - something tangible - can inform the design of virtual objects that are so vital in the ecosystem of our civilization: messages.
