HIFLD OPEN U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Maritime Differential GPS (DGPS) Locations
收藏资源简介:
NAVCEN operates the Coast Guard Maritime Differential GPS (DGPS) Service and the developing Nationwide DGPS Service (NDGPS), consisting of two control centers and 86 remote broadcast sites. The service broadcasts correction signals on marine radiobeacon frequencies to improve the accuracy and integrity of GPS-derived positions. DGPS provides 10-meter accuracy in all established coverage areas, typically achieving 1–3 meter positional accuracy. Coverage includes the coastal United States, the Great Lakes, Puerto Rico, portions of Alaska and Hawaii, and much of the Mississippi River Basin. The maritime DGPS system achieved Full Operational Capability on March 15, 1999, following a multi-year effort to upgrade and expand broadcast sites. This dataset was created for incorporation into the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) 2008 Homeland Security Infrastructure Program (HSIP) Gold data inventory release to the Federal Interagency Homeland Security and Homeland Defense Community. The system provides integrity alarms, high availability, and enhanced accuracy to support maritime navigation.
