Complete genome sequence of tomato necrotic ringspot orthotospovirus in chilli

Several tospovirus diseases severely destroyed chilli planting in Thailand. Diagnosing and identifying the causal viruses by RT-PCR were time-consuming to get full-length nucleotide sequences of the three segments. This research aims to use the HTS approach, such as next-generation sequencing by Illumina, to elucidate the complete genome of tomato necrotic ringspot orthotospovirus, the dominant tospovirus species infecting chilli pepper.
