Gene database of Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)

This work presents the gene database of Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Using annotated genome sequence downloaded from Genbank, an in-house MATLAB genome analysis software parsed the contents into a gene database comprising gene name, gene function, and gene sequence. Overall, the presented gene database of SARS-CoV-2 is fundamental to initiating studies in understanding the origins and pathogenic potential of this virus.
