To identify m6Am genes that are responsible for HIV inhibition, m6Am-exo-seq was performed in control, PCIF1 KO T cells, and cells infected with HIV. Overall design: m6Am-exo-seq was performed in control, PCIF1 KO Jurkat cells, or Jurkat cells infected with HIV LAI strain at an MOI of 4 for 3 days. m6Am genes were identified as 5'UTR methylated peaks that are decreased in PCIF1 cells
