In the present study, microbial communities of Sponges, Sediments, Seawater, and Soft corals inhabiting coral reef ecosystems were investigated using sequencing of 16S rRNA gene amplicons. Our main goals were to compare the prokaryotic richness and composition of the referred biotopes inhabiting coral reef systems. Illumina MiSeq study.
