Data report: Morphometric analyses in Holocene menardiform globorotalids (planktonic foraminifera)

This data report presents data and morphometric shell analyses of menardiform and tumiform globorotalids (planktonic foraminifera) from 30 Pleistocene to Holocene surface sediments from the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans. Special attention is given to the usefulnes for quantification of inter- and intraspecific shell variation with respect to spiral height versus axial length in keel view, but also to other shell parameters. The data set provides the complete sequence from raw images to final statistical treatment including all intermediate steps and fortran codes of programs that were used to generate this data set. The data is thought to serve as an experimental play ground and for comparison with future taxonomic investigations within the menardiform group of planktonic foraminifera. The report comes in form of a text, 6 tables containing selected data, and 22 compressed 7-Zip archives for download (7-Zip version 24.08 from Igor Pavlov, https://7-zip.org/). After unzipping all archives, the entire data volume expands to 8.59 GB of disc space on a laptop PC running under Windows NT.
