Roseburia is a genus of butyrate-producing, gram-positive anaerobic bacteria that inhabit the human colon. The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of R. faecis in the repeated water avoidance stress (WAS)-induced IBS model and to investigate its underlying mechanism.
