This dataset provides experimental testing and characterization data to support the conclusions and charts of the paper "The Mechanism of Densification of Barrier Layers in Solid Oxide Batteries for Improving Battery Performance". It includes electrochemical performance data of GDC barrier layers prepared by magnetron sputtering (MS), screen printing (SP), and spray coating (SC), as well as no barrier layer (No GDC) batteries under different operating conditions. Specifically, it includes the I-V curves, power density, electrolysis current density, and alternating current impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in fuel cell mode (FC) and electrolytic cell mode (EC). In addition, data related to battery microstructure characterization (SEM images) and phase analysis (XRD) are also included to analyze the effects of different GDC barrier layers on interface ion transport, Sr segregation, and interface reaction inhibition mechanisms.
