Melittidae of the European part of Russia, stored in the Mordovian State Nature Reserve

The dataset includes melittid collections stored in the Mordovian State Nature Reserve (JD MSNR&NPS) from 10 regions of the European part of Russia: Volgograd, Voronezh, Vladimir, Lipetsk, Penza, Ryazan, Saratov, Ulyanovsk regions, Chuvash and Mordovia Republics. The dataset is compiled from 596 specimens of bees from 3 genera and 10 species: Dasypoda hirtipes (Fabricius, 1793), Dasypoda morawitzi Radchenko, 2016, Macropis europaea Warncke, 1973, Macropis fulvipes (Fabricius, 1804), Melitta dimidiata Morawitz, 1876, Melitta haemorrhoidalis (Fabricius, 1775), Melitta leporina (Panzer, 1799), Melitta melanura (Nylander, 1852), Melitta nigricans Alfken, 1905, Melitta tricincta Kirby, 1802. The collections date from 1989 to 2025. All specimens are stored in the collection of the Mordovian State Nature Reserve (JD MSNR&NPS). The dataset combines both previously unpublished finds and finds cited from two previously published sources of literature, in which a promise was previously given to publish the finds in GBIF.
