This is a toxicogenomic study for Zn Nanoparticles and Zn ions in the earthworms Eisenia fetida. We selected individuals from the same genetic lineage and used RNA-seq analyses (Illumina) to compare pathway responses to ZnNPs and Zn ions at a similar exposure level (EC50 for reproduction) to elucidate whether there is evidence for a ZnNP specific response.
