Here, we constructed a comprehensive Tick Virome Database (TVD) by analyzing 1,556 publicly available tick metagenomic datasets comprising 32.1 TB of sequencing data. We recovered 24,987 non-redundant viral operational taxonomic units (vOTUs), of which 98.93% showed no detectable overlap with existing reference virome databases, revealing extensive unexplored viral diversity.
