The non-ferrous metal spot price index series is constructed based on the methodology for compiling non-ferrous metal spot price indices developed by the Shanghai Non-ferrous Metals Exchange. It selects six core varieties with the widest circulation and highest trading activity in the domestic market, and is compiled using daily spot price quotations collected from leading enterprises in the domestic upstream, midstream and downstream industries as well as traders, and has passed the review of the expert committee. The index comprehensively and objectively reflects the overall situation and general price trend of the non-ferrous metal spot market in major domestic consumption regions.
