Stownet fish data from the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (1991-2019)

Data were collected using a 90-square-metre stow net, a passive fishing gear, which fishes the entire water column from the surface to the bottom. A haul begins with the onset of the tidal current at around one knot, or 0.5 metres per second, and ends when the current decreases.The mesh size in the codend is 8 mm.All fish caught were identified to species level. Species abundance (ind./million m³) and biomass (kg/million m³) per species are assessed.
