资源简介:
Landscape Management Units (LMU) are distinct areas of land that typically have characteristic ecological properties (i.e. landforms and vegetation). The LMU boundaries are usually defined by rivers, roads or other identifiable features, including First Nation land selections. Where possible LMU boundaries have been made to match with adjacent regional land use plan boundaries. Each LMU has been assigned its own land-use designation and the Plan provides criteria and direction for management. Some LMUs are further defined on the basis of characteristics that require specific planning and management (e.g., lakes and wetlands on permafrost).
