In this work, all known and essential protein complexes of the mRNA 3’ processing (CFI, CFII, CstF, mPSF, and the endonuclease complex) were recombinantly expressed and chromatographically purified. For structural analysis, these complexes were cross-linked with the DSBU cross-linker and analyzed by mass spectrometry. Additionally, the recombinant protein complexes were used as bait proteins to identify interaction partners in nuclear extract.
