Brazil has been a primarily importing country of chemical products for years. In 2022, imports of these products in the country amounted to an estimated 82.6 billion U.S. dollars, up from 60.7 billion dollars a year earlier. By comparison, that same year, Brazil's chemicals exports totaled 17.7 billion dollars.
