To investigate the early changes in the hippocampus following noise-induced hearing loss, the gene expression profile of the hippocampus was evaluated using microarray analyses immediately after exposure to intense noise stimuli. Overall design: rats were divided into control and noise groups. Immediately after the 3 days of noise exposure, hippocampi were used for microarray analysis.
