We are developing a new serial crystallography instrument for next generation synchrotron facilities in order to make the synchrotron serial crystallography (SSX) more accessible for end users. A new sample harvesting and delivery method based on a new SBS crystallisation plate minimises manual interventions for sample preparation and enables transportation of fresh crystals from user's labs to synchrotron facilities. We expect that the throughput is improved by an order of magnitude from the crystallisation setup to data acquisition. The proposed instrument combines the acoustic levitation diffractometer (ALD) the new standardised crystallisation plate developed at PSI with the high flux polychromatic beam at the ESRF and a high frame rate integrating detector.
