资源简介:
This dataset contains experimental data related to the encapsulation of the transmembrane enzyme HMG-CoA reductase (HMGR) in liquid-crystalline lipid nanoparticles (hexosomes). The study aimed to optimize the composition and structure of the lipid nanocarriers to meet the requirements of this sensitive membrane protein and to compare its catalytic activity with that of the enzyme solubilized in aqueous solution. The dataset includes physicochemical characterization of the nanoparticles using DLS, SAXS, and cryo-TEM, as well as enzyme activity measurements via cyclic voltammetry (CV) and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The catalytic function of HMGR was preserved within the hexosomes, as evidenced by NADPH consumption during the reaction. Additionally, data from inhibition experiments with the cholesterol-lowering drug fluvastatin are included.
