Gene expression profiling of human cardiac macrophages sorted from failing human hearts Human macropages were sorted from tissue explants obtained from patients with dilated and ischemic cardiomyopathy using flow cytometry. Cells were sorted directly into lysis buffer. Sunstes examined included CCR2+ monocytes, CCR2+ macrophages, and CCR2- macrophages.
