In 2019, millions of people were prescribed psychoactive drugs with no relevant psychiatric pathology diagnosis in France. Among men, anxiolytics were the most prescribed psychoactive drug (with no relevant psychiatric diagnosis) during that year. On the other hand, antidepressants and mood regulators were the most prescribed psychoactive drug among women in France.
