资源简介:
This report details the use of geospatial analyses as a tool for analysis during consultation under Section 7 of the federal Endangered Species Act. This example can be used as guidance for future analyses that support Section 7 consultations. Currently, consultations, formal consultations with a biological opinion, do not always include intensive Geographic Information System (GIS) analyses. They use project details provided by the action agency and project applicant, best available data, population models, population models, and literature reviews to understand potential effects. More consultations could be complemented by GIS analyses. The increasing availability of GIS software and easy-to-use functions provides more ability to quantify and understand impacts. The purpose of this report is to detail the basic functions and tools used within ESRI’s ArcGIS software to provide an environmental impact assessment. This report will focus on examples of GIS analyses from consultations for New Jersey Wind Port and Edgemoor Terminal located in the Delaware River. 2022 Critical Habitat GIS Atlantic Sturgeon Section 7 Consultation GARFO Geospatial NMFS (National Marine Fisheries Service) GARF (Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries) Submitted https://doi.org/10.25923/gn8b-5j66 Public Domain 2261
