We conducted a survey of the fecal microbiota of dairy cows fed corn silages in Japan and China. The objective was to improve our knowledge of variations in the fecal microbiota of dairy cows with regards to country, farm, and individual cows. We also examined whether silage microbiota influence gut microbiota.
