Tube feeding in advanced dementia

The dataset includes codes (inductive coding) accompanied by quotes derived from the interview transcripts, highlighting the insights and perspectives obtained from the analysis. Researchers and interested individuals can utilise this comprehensive dataset to gain a deeper understanding of the complex decision-making process. By examining the interview transcripts, potential researchers can explore the diverse perspectives and experiences of local speech-language therapists related to feeding tube placement in people with advanced dementia. 
Table 1 provides valuable demographic information about the participants, such as age, gender, and professional experience. This information can help researchers analyze potential influences on perspectives, enriching the interpretation of the findings. Overall, this dataset offers a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners interested in understanding the complexities surrounding tube feeding decisions in the context of advanced dementia. It contributes to the growing body of knowledge in this field and may inform future interventions and decision-making processes in clinical practice. 
The reflexive inductive thematic analysis approach employed in this study allowed for the identification of key themes and sub-themes (Table 2), shedding light on the various factors and considerations involved in these complex decisions. Research software, ATLAS.ti was used throughout the analysis process.
