This dataset compiles research data on sediment detection collected from 18 sampling sites along the main streams and tributaries of the Qinghai-Sichuan-Gansu section of the upper Yellow River from September to October 2020. The data primarily include the concentrations of 8 heavy metal elements and 6 nutrient salts. Surface sediment samples were collected by researchers using a Petersen grab sampler. After low-temperature preservation, the samples were analyzed for relevant indicators with professional laboratory equipment.
