This dialogue AI team, founded by research initiatives and affiliated with Jigsaw (a division of Google and part of Alphabet Inc.), is developing tools to enhance online conversations. One of its core research focuses is negative online behaviors, such as toxic comments—defined as rude, disrespectful, or comments that may drive someone away from a discussion. To date, the team has built a suite of publicly available models hosted via the Perspective API service, including toxicity classification models.
