Una sepoltura in vaso dell'Età del Bronzo Finale di Roca Vecchia (Melendugno, LE)

In this article we examine some of the evidence related to the Recent Bronze Age occupation of the site of Roca Vecchia (SAS IX) that can be linked to rituals involving the whole community. Contextual data suggests that such rituals involved sacrifices and feasting practices possibly connected to foundation (or re-foundation) rites connected to important changes in the settlement. The discovering of a burial in pot of a perinatal individual placed on the floor of a large building (the so-called "capanna tempio") shade light to a complex funerary which seem to include various stages.
