Metagenomics of Woody Ornamental Plants Inoculated with Oomycete Pathogens

The purpose of this study was to develop and test a workflow for metagenomics-based diagnosis of Oomycete plant pathogens from woody ornamental plants. This dataset contains data from three experiments were Rhododendrons and Taxus plants were inoculated with oomycete pathogens. Disease was given time to establish, and total genomic DNA was extracted from surface sanitized roots. Sequencing is Short read 150x2 bp performed on Illumina NextSeq2000 at a target depth of 12.5 Million reads per sample. Data available to public on 7-31-2025.
