Aim of this study is to resolve the phylogenetic relationships among primarily wingless insect orders using supermatrices based on Expressed Sequence Tag (EST) data. Available EST data for primarily apterygote insect orders are combined with newly generated transcriptome data for representatives of two key taxa: the japygid Megajapyx sp. (Diplura) and the lepismatid Thermobia domestica (Zygentoma).
