Small agricultural areas in the Greater East region. Agricultural regions (RAs) and small agricultural regions (SRAs) were defined from 1946 to characterise homogeneous agricultural areas. The RA covers an entire number of municipalities and may cover several departments. Metropolitan France is divided into 432 RAs (excluding Paris). The PRA consists of the intersection of the department and the RA. There are 713 PRAs. Source: Agreste
