eDNA bacteria (water) DOORS September 2023

The dataset contains eDNA data collected during the MN248 Cruise (11-20 September 2023), from 5 stations located in the Romanian Black Sea area, in the framework of H2020 DOORS Project. From each station, water samples were collected with a CTD rosette equipped with Niskin bottles, from the intermediate layer. Onboard R/V Mare Nigrum, water was filtered using Sterivex sterile filter units and subsequently stored at -20̊ C. In order to assess the microbial communities, V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was sequenced using an Illumina MiSeq platform (Macrogen, South Korea). The database comprises taxonomic and quantitative data (relative abundance expressed as ASVs – Amplicon sequence variants).
