NRS-13115 | Correspondence files [Royal Botanic Gardens]

The series of registered correspondence files relate to the management of the Royal Botanic Gardens and other parks in New South Wales including the Domain and Centennial Park.These files deal with a range of matters including the development of improvement and maintenance of facilities; acquisition of land; design and location of monuments; arrangements for Commonwealth Jubilee celebrations and visits by important dignitaries; amendment of By-laws; seed exchange programs both in Australia and overseas; and improvements to the existing National Herbarium.There are a range of different file numbering systems within this series of records along with several different file number prefixes. These prefixes include BGT [Botanic Gardens Trust], ASF [Agriculture Special Files], T, M, NH [National Herbarium], RBG [Royal Botanic Gardens], SYD [Sydney], FIL and BG [Botanic Gardens].The items within this series are regarded as registered correspondence as they have a controlling file number.
