Photographs of aggregates in the mesocosm COASTal water amended with COASTal microbial concentrate

Mesocosm experiments were performed with seawater collected from the Northern Gulf of Mexico (NGOM) and “seeded” with microbial populations collected from Galveston Bay, TX. Four treatments were set up in triplicate Control, water accommodated oil fraction or WAF (~0.02% oil:seawater), water accommodated oil fraction with Corexit 9500 or CEWAF (20:1 oil:Corexit), and a 10-fold diluted equivalent of WAF, called DCEWAF.
