The Case Dataset for Remote Sensing Monitoring of Flood Disasters contains remote sensing image data of major domestic flood disasters since 2018, as well as information on flood inundation extents, affected areas of residential areas, affected areas of different land use types, and damage degrees of disaster-bearing bodies such as buildings, roads, bridges, and industrial and mining lands.
The monitoring data of flood inundation extents covers multiple dimensions including temporal changes and affected areas, systematically reveals the spatio-temporal distribution of flood disasters, and details the inundation status of various disaster-bearing bodies during flood events. This facilitates analysis of the impacts of flood disasters on urban and rural areas from a holistic perspective. Meanwhile, the dataset supports in-depth dissection of flood risks in specific regions, provides scientific basis for disaster emergency response, post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, and flood control planning, and assists in formulating effective disaster management policies and optimizing disaster response strategies.
