Forgotten colors – Rediscovering the original polychromy of early medieval wall paintings in the Raetia Curiensis region

This dataset contains the experimental results produced during the Forgotten Colours project (grant number: 201055), funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF). The project intends to reconstruct the entire process of wall painting execution in a number of Early Medieval sites in the historical Raetia Curiensis Region, which encompassed the territory of today’s Swiss Canton of Grisons and parts of today’s Northern Italy and Austria, by characterizing the materials, their provenance and production technologies through non-invasive in situ as well as invasive ex situ analyses and to communicate the results through digital communication and visualization technologies.Please see "READ ME.txt" for additional information
