Our aim was to investigate whether and how changes in sleep influences microglial function in the brain. We chronically sleep deprived mice expressing humanized TREM2 common variant, and mice without TREM2 expression in the presence or absence of amyloid plaques (Aβ). Overall design: Hippocampal mRNA profiles of 4 months old 5xFAD and wild-type mice were generated by deep sequencing, in triplicate, using Illumina NovaSeq 6000.
