A price survey conducted across all supermarkets nationwide revealed that the average price of 1 kg of cherries in June 2024 was 6,494 yen. The price of 1 kg of cherries nationwide was 2,649 yen higher than the national average. During the period from January 2015 to June 2024 (a span of 19 months), the month with the highest price of cherries in supermarkets nationwide was June 2024, at 6,494 yen, while the month with the lowest price was July 2016, at 2,247 yen. The price difference between the peak price period (June 2024) and the lowest price period (July 2016) of cherries nationwide was 2,649 yen.
