Code for Mapping potential conflicts between renewable energy development and urban expansion in China

This dataset, comprising code and supplementary data, supports a spatial optimisation framework designed to redeploy PV and wind power plants in China. Addressing the land-use conflicts between renewable energy expansion and rapid urbanization, the associated study employs a spatially explicit model to project overlaps between energy infrastructure and urban growth under various carbon-neutral pathways. Guided by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the included framework reallocates land for energy infrastructure to mitigate conflicts. By integrating dynamic land-use modeling with energy planning, these resources offer a scalable pathway for synergistic development in China and other developing regions.
