Areas protected under Ordinance (2001:554) laying down environmental quality standards for fish and mussel waters (formerly Areas protected under the Fish Water Directive (78/659/EEC)). The objective of the Regulation (formerly the Fish Water Directive) is to maintain or improve the quality of flowing or stagnant fresh water in which fish live or could live if pollution there could be reduced or eliminated.
