Association between vitamin B6 and risk of gastric cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis of epidemiological studies

Data extraction: extracted the data of each paper that meets the inclusion criteria.Statistical analysis:The summary ORs and corresponding 95% CIs of the included studies were used as a measure to assess the association of vitamin B6 intake with gastric cancer risk. The statistical heterogeneity among the studies was assessed using the Q test and I2 statistics. If a statistical difference in heterogeneity was found (P < 0.10 or I2 > 50%), a random effects model was selected to pool the data. When statistical heterogeneity was detected, a sensitivity analysis was performed to explore the potential sources of heterogeneity, both in the overall pooled estimate and within the subgroups. The potential publication bias was examined using funnel plots and Egger’s test (P < 0.10). All the analyses were performed using STATA, version 17.0 (Stata Corp, College Station, TX). A Pvalue < 0.05 was considered to indicate statistical significance, unless otherwise specified.
