Weather Source data, products, and solutions were built for analytics and machine learning. Since 2015, Weather Source has empowered businesses with the necessary data to quantify the impact of weather on almost all aspects of business performance, including product sales, footfall traffic, seasonal productions, marketing, supply chain, marketing, improved resource planning and more. The Consumer Weather Impact Indices are aggregations of weather and climate data that are engineered to correlate to various consumer activities. It is well known that weather can have a significant influence on consumer behavior and purchasing decisions across many industries, but it is often challenging to relate weather values directly to consumer behaviors in ways that are statistically performant. The Consumer Weather Impact Indices incorporate numerous factors such as climatology to provide a reference for the weather being above or below normal, recent weather trends, and even weather forecasts. By including a more comprehensive and contextual summary of the weather, the Consumer Weather Impact Indices correlate more strongly to consumer behaviors versus simple weather value-based regression estimates. We offer sample data for the Consumer Weather Impact Indices for evaluation purposes and upon request we will enable a share consisting of historical data from 2017 to near real-time for 2,791 random US ZIP Codes.
