BM28 related genomes

We determined the genome sequences of BM28 and BM28 deltalysU and made a reconstruction of the starting strain's genome (JB41). These BM28 strains were generated by Rudolph et al. and reported on in 2010 in The Journal of Biological Chemistry (Volume 285, Issue 25, Pages 19029-19034). The starting strain was JB41 from a Bardwell and Craig paper published in 1988 in The Journal of Bacteriology (Volume 170, Issue 7, Pages 2977-2983). The BM28 strains were grown at higher and higher temperatures by Rudolph et al. and their maximum growth temperatures are 3 degrees Celsius higher than the starting strain. Many genetic changes occurred over their evolution to growth at high temperatures.
