资源简介:
The data presented here are from our study on Facial Recognition Payment (FRP) adoption among older adults. We share these data with the aim of promoting further research in this field, fostering collaboration among scholars, and providing valuable resources for those involved in developing age - friendly payment technologies. In the digital age, with the increasing trend of population aging, enhancing the well - being of older adults has become a pressing issue. FRP, a convenient “face - to - pay” technology, has been widely used in commerce. However, most previous research focused on younger users, leaving a significant gap in understanding how older adults adopt FRP and their associated user experiences. To address this gap, our study integrated the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and User Experience Theory (UXT). We developed a comprehensive framework considering both cognitive and affective aspects to explore FRP adoption among older users. The data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 387 older adults in China. The collection covered various factors related to FRP adoption, such as perceived convenience, facilitating conditions, technology anxiety, perceived enjoyment, personal innovation, privacy risk, and technology self - efficacy. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses. The data analysis shows that TAM - based factors, such as perceived convenience, facilitating conditions, and technology anxiety, have significant impacts on perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), and user attitudes, with perceived convenience being the most influential. From the UXT perspective, personal innovation and perceived enjoyment positively affect user attitudes, while privacy risk hinders adoption. Although technology self - efficacy has no direct impact on user attitudes, it indirectly promotes PEOU and PU through personal innovation.By sharing these data, we hope to offer crucial insights into older adults' technology acceptance behavior. This can provide theoretical and practical implications for developing age - friendly FRP systems, guiding technology developers, policymakers, and stakeholders in creating user - centered payment technologies. Ultimately, this will contribute to improving the quality of life for the aging population.
