Fashion Model Database (FMDB)

Fashion model database consisting of 11583 female models, each with physical and professional information. Included are: name, nationality, birth date / birth year / birth place, hair color, eye color, height [cm], bust [cm], waist [cm], hips [cm], dress size [cm], shoe size [EU], online URL for the model (https), and list of membership to / appearance in fashion agencies, covers, editorials, fashion shows, advertisements. Alongside all raw data, we ensure numerical normalization for the following physical features: - normalized hair color [0-1] based on RGB codes, - normalized eye color [0-1] based in RGB codes, - normalized height [0-1] based on min-max heights in database, - normalized bust[0-1] based on min-max bust sizes in database, - normalized waist [0-1] based on min-max waists sizes in database, - normalized hips [0-1] based on min-max hip sizes in database, - normalized dress size [0-1] based on min-max dress sizes in database, - normalized shoe size [0-1] based on min-max shoes sizes (European) in database. The data may be used to create network models of physical similarity and professional collaboration between fashion models, based on bipartite graphs etc. Alternatively, data may be used for supervised or unsupervised learning, like: determining relationship between model's physical features and chances of success for specific agencies/covers/shows; relating nationality with dominant physical features; relating fashion agency or magazine cover with preferred physical features; finding patterns in eyes - hair - height - body sizes. Note: The database contains only "public" information about fashion models (including name, nationality, birth place, birth year), but does not contain "confidential" or "personal" information of any of the models included.
