资源简介:
Climate change is predicted to increase the frequency and duration of drought events, threatening the functioning of Central European forests. To study how individual tree growth during the drought event of 2018-2020 was dependend on the hydro-functional strategy of the tree species and if the tree growth reductions during drought could be buffered by the hydro-functional dissimilarity of the focal tree to its neighbouring trees, we created this dataset among others.
This dataset contains leaf water potential measurements taken at pre-dawn and midday in 2022 across tree species in the MyDiv Experiment. From this data we can extract species traits like minimum water potential (midday water potential during drought) and delta water potential (difference between predawn and midday), to get a hint to the degree of isohydry of the tree species.
These data represent a subset of leaf-level hydro-functional traits used to assess species-specific water-use strategies and drought responses of temperate forest tree species.
