Presidential Proclamations, 1789-2009

The Presidential Proclamations Project at the University of Houston is a collaboration between Professors Brandon Rottinghaus and Jeremy Bailey (University of Oklahoma), merging their interests in presidential power and the plebisary presidency. This is the most complete record of presidential proclamations (11,000+) known to exist and hosts a universe of proclamations from President George Washington to President Barack Obama. File contains hundreds of difficult to find historical proclamations. This project is partially funded by the National Science Foundation (SES Award # 1237627).
