NC ENVIROSCAN: a geospatial mapping tool for chemical and nonchemical stressors in North Carolina

A web-based mapping tool for visualizing patterns and hazards related to environmental health in North Carolina using statewide data on environmental, sociodemographic, environmental justice, and health outcome topics. The metadata for these data is contained in this entry. Individual datasets can be shared upon request. NC ENVIRSOCAN compiled datasets from diverse sources including the state of North Carolina, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the US Census Bureau. Within the mapping tool these indicators can be readily visualized both individually and integrated with a second indicator. The mapping tool can be accessed at https://enviroscan.org. The data are at fine geographic scales such as census tract and zip code. Several indicators are point location data.
