资源简介:
Miscellaneous accounts mostly originating in the Corporation Office; found loose, together with other Corporation records, they fall into four groups: a. A foolscap volume labelled "Miscellaneous" and containing, abstracts of salaries of Church officers; an estimate of the value of the proportion of import and other duties due to the Corporation in the first quarter of 1826; church expenses and school expenses for the same quarter; and a variety of estimates, returns, memoranda and statements of accounts relating to the finances of the Corporation in the years 1826-30. b. A bundle of accounts prepared by William Balcombe, Colonial Treasurer, in his capacity as Treasurer to the Corporation. The accounts show the total expenditure and income of the Corporation for the year 1826, treating the Clergy and School Account and the Improvement and Building Account separately, and showing, separately, drafts drawn by the Corporation, and clergymen and catechists. The bundle also includes some receipts for money raised upon debentures, and a list of drafts paid by the Treasurer in 1827. c. Rough Calculations of Statements of Drafts: arithmetical calculations under various headings of amounts drawn by officers of the Corporation in the years 1826, 1827, and 1828. d. A bundle of vouchers relating to goods purchased on behalf of the Corporation by Edward Barnard, Agent for New South Wales, London, 1824-27. The bundle contains the duplicate of a covering letter from Barnard to Charles Cowper dated 11 November 1828. (4/394 part). 1 box (part). Note: This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
